HEDGEPICK
LiveNew debates published every weekday morning

Hear the case against a stock before you buy it.

Type a ticker and, if you like, why you want it. Twelve AI agents research the company, a bull and a bear argue it out, a risk desk sizes the position, and a portfolio manager makes the final call. You get a plain-English verdict, the full debate, and the weakest point in your own reasoning.

01 Who it's for

One report, two ways to read it.

Every report opens with a short verdict in plain language. Underneath is the full analyst file: valuation, cash flow, technicals, the debate transcript, and risk levels. Read as much or as little as you need.

A second opinion that argues with you.

Most stock tips only tell you why to buy. HedgePick deliberately builds the case against the stock too, in everyday language, so you know what could go wrong before your money is in it.

  • 01Buy, Hold or Sell, with the reason in two or three sentences.
  • 02The weakest part of your idea, named directly.
  • 03When to change your mind: the specific things that would prove the idea wrong.
HOLDThe business is healthy, but the price already assumes the good news. Wait for a better entry or a clearer catalyst.

An adversarial research desk on demand.

Single-model tools agree with whatever you ask. HedgePick runs separate fundamentals, sentiment, news and technical analysts, then forces a structured bull/bear debate, a three-way risk debate, and a portfolio-manager ruling.

  • 01Full debate transcript with the figures each side used.
  • 02Stop loss, take profit and position sizing from the trader and risk desk.
  • 03Trader plan: track positions against the S&P 500, set alerts, re-check theses weekly, stage orders in an Alpaca paper account.

02 How it works

Twelve agents. Five stages. One ruling.

Each analyst sees only its own data. The researchers argue from those reports, and nothing reaches the portfolio manager until the risk desk has argued over it. Scroll to follow a report through the pipeline.

Stage 01

Evidence

Four analysts, working separately

Four analysts each check one thing: the price chart, what investors are saying, the news, and the company’s finances. None of them sees the others’ work.

Market: trend vs 50/200-day averages, MACD, RSI, Bollinger, volume. Sentiment: social and retail positioning. News: company events, guidance, macro and sector catalysts. Fundamentals: revenue and EPS trend, margins, FCF, leverage, valuation.

Stage 02

Bull vs bear

Two researchers, one debate

One researcher argues to buy and one argues against. Each has to answer the other’s points using the analysts’ evidence and your own reasoning.

Adversarial rebuttal between bull and bear researchers, built on the four analyst reports and the user’s thesis. Each side must address the other’s strongest claim.

Stage 03

Research manager

Judges the debate

A research manager reads both sides, decides which case was stronger, and writes an investment plan.

Scores the debate on evidence rather than rhetoric, states which arguments carried, and produces a written investment plan for the trader.

Stage 04

Trader and risk desk

One trader, three risk analysts

A trader turns the plan into a position. Then aggressive, neutral and conservative risk analysts argue about how much to buy and where to get out.

Trader proposal with entry, stop loss and take profit. Three-way risk debate on position size relative to volatility, drawdown and event risk.

Stage 05

Portfolio manager

The final call

The portfolio manager weighs everything and makes the call: Buy, Hold or Sell, with the reasons in writing.

Final BUY / HOLD / SELL rating with written rationale, position sizing and risk levels. Every ruling is published as-is, including the SELLs.

03 Thesis stress-test

Tell it why you want to buy. It tries to prove you wrong.

Add a sentence about your reasoning and the bear researchers attack that exact premise. Page one of your report says whether your idea holds up.

  1. Write your reason in one line. "Safe dividend," "AI demand keeps growing," anything.
  2. The bear goes after it with the company's own numbers.
  3. You get a ruling on your thesis, its weakest assumption, and the conditions that would make you wrong.
Your thesis, tested · KO (Coca-Cola)Full sample PDF →
Your reasoning
"Defensive consumer staple with pricing power and a safe 3% dividend if the economy slows."

Verdict on your thesis: partly holds. The dividend is well covered, but organic volume growth is negative (-1% in North America) as cumulative price hikes hit elasticity limits, and at 23x trailing earnings you are paying a growth multiple for a bond proxy.

Weakest assumption
That pricing power is inexhaustible. Unit case volume has already stalled in developed markets as private-label substitution rises.
Kill criteria
Exit if North American unit case volume stays negative for two consecutive quarters or operating margin compresses below 28%.

Bull analystThe case for buying

A dominant global asset manager posting 30.6% YoY revenue growth, delivering normalized EBITDA growth of 34%, with a technical breakout on institutional volume…

Bear analystThe case against

The bull's defense of Q1's negative cash flow relies on treating one terrible quarter as "normal seasonality." That's not analysis; that's rationalization.

Research managerWho won, and why

The bull's strongest points were structural and hard to rebut convincingly. BLK's 30.6% YoY revenue growth and 34% normalized EBITDA growth are not statistical noise…

What people ask before they start.

Anything else: joseph@hedgepick.com. A person reads every email.

No. HedgePick is an educational research tool. The analysts work from publicly available data and produce research-style output. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell. Do your own due diligence and consult a licensed advisor before investing.
We don't publish an accuracy figure, because we haven't measured one we can stand behind. Earlier versions of this page showed percentages that weren't backed by a rigorous test; we removed them. What HedgePick does do is show its work: the bull case, the bear case, the risks and the reasoning, so you judge the argument instead of trusting a number. If we publish a track record, it will be dated, complete (misses included) and linked from this page.
Yes. Page one is a short verdict in plain language: the ruling, why, the weakest part of your idea, and what would change the picture. The detailed analyst sections come after, for when you want to go deeper.
It's the AI's own rating of how one-sided the evidence looked after the debate. A high score means the bull and bear cases weren't close. It is not a probability that the stock will go up or down, and it hasn't been checked against real outcomes.
Any US-listed equity on a major exchange, from mega-caps to small caps. Coverage of ETFs and foreign listings is limited and results may be thinner.
A chatbot gives you one model's answer, and it tends to follow the framing of your question. HedgePick runs specialised analysts on current data, then forces a structured bull-versus-bear debate and a separate three-way risk debate before a portfolio manager rules. It is designed to push back on you.
